BioFinder 2016:  Mapping Your Community’s Conservation Resources

Putney

Landmark College

May 1    6:30 – 8:30pm

Please join Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department for this free workshop! The interactive training will get you using our updated, online mapping tool: BioFinder. This mapping resource helps you find the places most important for maintaining biodiversity, even as the climate changes. It includes maps of Vermont’s connected forests and waterways, locations of important ecological resources, and other information used for conservation and land use planning. By zooming in and out to different scales, BioFinder helps you see what role a local area plays in a larger context.  Find the website at BioFinder.vermont.gov, and join us to learn more!

Everyone is welcome, but since space is limited, pre-registration is required. Please email Monica.przyperhart@vermont.gov to sign up or learn more.

Have you used BioFinder in the past? The maps have changed! Updates include new information, a new online platform, and new, user-friendly tools. Workshops will be appropriate for first-time users or those interested in learning updates to a familiar tool.
